Havana, Aug 3 (ACN)

Through an official statement, the Syrian Communist Party today rejected the U.S. government’s attempts at interference in Cuba’s internal affairs and destabilization in the largest of the Antilles.

“We ratify our full solidarity with the Communist Party of Cuba in the face of the vile plots hatched by the U.S. administration and its agents and intelligence corps to destabilize the situation in the Caribbean nation,” stated the communiqué bearing the signature of the Political Bureau of that organization, according to Prensa Latina.

The text denounces the attempts of successive White House administrations to conspire against governments that reject U.S. hegemony and defend their sovereignty and the rights of their peoples.

“That is nothing new, which requires more solidarity and cooperation among all national liberation forces to fortify unity in the face of challenges,” the statement remarked.

Syria reaffirmed through statements issued by its Parliament, Foreign Ministry and Workers Federation, its strong condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba and Washington’s attempts to destabilize the Antillean country, and considered that the imperialist powers are trying to apply the same dirty recipe they used against Syria.
