The Ministry of the Interior (MININT) recognized this Thursday in Havana the chiefs and combatants of the armed institution who participated in the rescue, rescue, investigation, treatment of relatives and other tasks that arose as a result of the fateful accident that occurred at the Saratoga Hotel. last May.

The member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and Minister of the Interior, Division General Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas, together with the members of the Central Committee Idalis Rodríguez, second secretary of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC), and Aylin Álvarez García, first secretary of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) presided over the tribute that was held at the Firefighters School.

The occasion was propitious so that, at the proposal of the National Union of Civilian Defense Workers, the CTC delivered the Labor Prowess Flag to the Fire Department Headquarters, Commands 1, 3, 5, Specialized Rescue Unit and Rescue and the Canine Technical Unit of the National Special Brigade.

Three Heads of Directorates received congratulations from the Minister of the Interior for their outstanding performance in the Command Directorate actions carried out at the Hotel Saratoga.
